Enrolment within the NI PQ Framework

To enrol for any of the Awards within the NI PQ Framework, candidates must meet the following criteria:

i. Be registered with the NISCC on the social work part of the Register

ii. Have, where appropriate, completed their Assessed Year in Employment (AYE)

iii. Be able to evidence ability to study at M level *

  * The following qualifications are normally accepted as evidence of ability to study at M level:
  • A primary degree (2.2 classification or above)
  • A Masters or higher degree
  • A Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma
  • Full PQSW/Achievement within UK Framework at Advanced level

Candidates who wish to undertake the Individual Assessment Route but who do not meet this criterion, will be asked to complete a 2,000 word written assignment, details of which can be obtained from your agency PQ rep or the PQ office.

Those candidates undertaking accredited programmes, will be asked to complete an entrance assignment by the respective university/programme provider.

As part of the enrolment process, candidates are required to complete a 'learning plan' detailing how they intend to pursue/complete their Award. Guidance notes for completing the enrolment form and learning plan are included in the enrolment pack, copies of which can be obtained from your agency rep or PQ office.
